In addition to the general requirements, experience in the amateur theatre is expected of those wishing to apply to the school. Participants are also expected to have seen recent performances, among which of chidren's and youth theatre. The selection course takes place in two stages. The first consists of lessons in acting, mime, theatre-making and directing. The candidates are evaluated on the basis of their theatrical and acting talents, their attitude towards the work and their potential for further development. In the second stage the candidates must perform an acting study and a self-made theatre piece. In addition they are called in for two interviews; one discussing a performance they have seen and the second regarding their motivation for this profession. Applicants are evaluated on the basis of their dramatic, pedagogical and analytical talent and their enthusiasm.
