The deadline for applications for Autumn Semester 2010 (starting 1 September 2010) is closed.

First selection stage
Candidates must provide (in English), via the digital Application form:

• A written statement describing their artistic development
Describe your 'artistic journey'. What is your artistic ambition? Where do you position yourself today within your artistic field? (Please do not re-formulate your CV but describe the 'artistic urge' that has driven you. You may name important personal (artistic) references).

• A description of their motivation
Why would you like to attend DasArts?
How do you expect DasArts to contribute to your artistic development?
(max. 400 words)

• Goals
Considering your current position within the performing arts, please articulate your artistic ambition by giving an outline of the development you specifically intend to achieve at DasArts.
What sort of 'Master of Theatre' do you intend to become? (Please indicate topics, strategies/methods or fields you want to explore during your DasArts trajectory).

• Professional activities
Please insert CV, mentioning (where applicable) performing/time based arts projects, research/collaborations, exhibitions, professional activities, subsidies, grants and prizes. Please, indicate your role in the mentioned work and/or if it concerns your own creation.

• Supporting documentation
A minimum of 3 different performing/time-based arts projects must be handed in. Total viewing of the material (including different media) should not exceed 20 minutes.
• Eventually: address of your website.
• Writers/dramaturges can send in 2 scripts/scenarios/theses.
• In addition, one letter of recommendation is required from a specialist (not necessarily from your own discipline), and a CV from this specialist.

A first selection based on the application form and the visual material will take place in the end of February.

A second round will take place in DasArts. In March we invite a small group of candidates for a two days programme of interviews, practical exercises, a meal and a collective visit to a theatre performance.

Candidates who are not chosen at this stage will be notified by letter, giving reasons. Expenses incurred during the selection process will not be reimbursed. Applications that are not filled in completely and correctly, will not be taken in consideration.
