Selection and orientation

A candidate for the Modern Theatre Dance Course must be in possession of a Havo diploma (or a high school diploma equivalent to the Dutch Havo level) and have followed a preliminary course at the Theatre School or elsewhere prior to application.

Selection takes place by means of three rounds of audition. The first round includes classes in ballet and modern dance technique. The second one includes an extensive modern dance technique class and a piece of repertory. Foreign and Dutch applicants are brought together for the third audition which consists of an improvisation class, a modern dance class and concludes in a motivation talk. A medical and physical check-up rounds off the procedure.

Candidates between the ages of 17 and 22 may apply for selection.

The deadline for application is on Friday 18 March 2011.

Auditions
First audition for international candidates: Thursday 7 April 2011
Second audition for international candidates: Friday 8 April 2011
Final audition for both Dutch and international candidates: Saturday 9 April 2011.
