Mini-conference 2005

April 8-10, 2005

The two day conference “As If We Don’t Know What It Is: proposals for performance in shifting contexts” took place in March 2005 at the Amsterdam School of the Arts. It was organized in collaboration with Dance Unlimited Amsterdam and Springdance Utrecht. The participants, 31 in total, which included ten of the Dance Unlimited program, were young professional artists from the Dutch scene. To help facilitate the research, three European contemporary performance groups, Association Edna, Boris Charmatz; Rimini Protokoll and Blast Theory were invited. They were asked to bring a proposition based on questions they were currently facing in their work. Researcher and writer Jeroen Peeters was invited to participate and help frame the discussion.
